About Miss Rose
Miss Rose writes for children and teenagers because she believes growing up should come with more than instructions. It should come with stories, imagination, questions, adventures, and the freedom to discover who you are.
Her books range from magical adventures and the Emily & Aiden series to stories that explore some of the very real challenges of growing up in today’s world.
Whether her characters are stepping into an adventure or navigating something much closer to home, there is one idea behind everything she writes:
Young people deserve books that speak to them, not down to them.
Miss Rose wants children to get lost in a story, laugh, wonder what happens next, and discover something about themselves without feeling as though they are being taught a lesson.
For teenagers, she writes with the same respect. Growing up can be exciting, confusing, funny, lonely, and complicated. Sometimes all in the same day. Her books create space for those experiences and remind young readers that they don’t have to have everything figured out yet.
Born and raised in Norway and now living in Arizona with her family, Miss Rose is a mother and author who draws inspiration from imagination, everyday family life, and the questions young people are already asking.
She writes the kinds of books she hopes a child or teenager will finish and think:
“That was for someone like me.”
Where the mission began
“She needs reading glasses, but they can’t afford them.”
Miss Rose began writing more than ten years ago, but one conversation with her son gave her stories a bigger purpose. He came home from school and told her about a girl in his class who could only read her paper when she held it far away.
Miss Rose couldn’t stop thinking about that child, and about all the other children who want to read and learn but can’t clearly see the words in front of them. She knew she wanted her books to do more.

“I want every young reader who opens one of my books to feel entertained, encouraged, and a little more confident in who they are becoming.”
One book. One child. One clearer world.
Books with a mission
It started when Miss Rose’s son told her about a classmate who held her paper far away to read it, because her family couldn’t afford glasses. 10% of net profit from the Emily & Aiden series funds free reading glasses for local kids.
